Bikes are Here!

This is the leftovers from emptying and assembling bikes.
Our bikes arrived yesterday and Brian put them together.  I think that boxes had been emptied and then put back together and we lost Phoenix’s helmet in the process unfortunately. I believe replacing it will not be that hard to do just potentially expensive.

As I write this morning, Brian is out on a bike riding probably tearing up the coastal areas and the boys sleep on the couch and chair on either side of me. They woke up early and hungry and quickly fell back to sleep. The wind, birds, and airplanes fill the air.  The last two days there is more and more air traffic.  I pray as many of our overseas friends head back to the jobs or off to their new posts that they arrive safely.  Also the clothes washer is doing its job quietly upstairs in the bathroom (by the bedrooms).  WBAIS replaced it for us nearly immediately when the other one was not working.  We are well taken care of with our new jobs.  I also hear the bustle of parents dropping off their little ones at the preschool that is a stone’s throw from our home. I’ll head out for a ride once Brian returns from his ride.  I’m looking forward to my new bike with full suspension.

Last night, Rex and I found a pet store and went to see what animals they had after we had a yummy shrimp dinner. There were many rodents, snakes, lizards, and birds. We will most likely try for a rescue cat or dog. If I don’t act quickly, we’ll be housing all of the tomcats in the neighbourhood. For math activities, we’ve been looking at the prices of the catfood, kitty litter, cat box, etc. and estimating the amount of food necessary for the new pet. Cat food for a small bag is about 40-45 nis (New Israeli Shekel?), which is about $15 USD.  Is that high?  Seems like a lot to pay for Friskies!

My bike ride this morning was out to the beach to in an area called Poleg.  It’s where we took the beach picture. We made homemade pizza for dinner and I bought some really cute purple and green glasses.  No sirens at all since I’d mentioned them in the last post. Life continues as normal here in our quiet neighborhood.  We walked down to the park at dinner and then a little hardware store.
